Okay, so I went to BeadFest Philly and I brought home...TWO TRUNK SHOWS!!!!  Yippee!

The first is from CHERRY TREE BEADS.  I couldn't make up my mind there were so many stunning stones to choose from.  I settled on a nice array of jasper, quartz, and sponge coral.  Plus some multi-colored strands of shell pearls in different sizes.  I also found some lively strands of lampwork.

My friend, Beth, owns KABELA, a company that sells antiqued filigree jewelry components.  We have a very nice selection of very cool copper, bronze, and antiqued white pieces that will fit into the vintage and steampunk styles that are so hot on the market right now.

These shows will run until September 18th.  Time passes by so quickly, so don't miss this!

Meg Fillmore will be here this month to teach a VACATION MEMORY PENDANT.  If you are interested in this class, start gathering a small memento or two as the focal point for your pendant.  It could be a seashell, a small vial of sand, a ticket stub, or in my case, a wine cork!  We will mount the trinket and stitch around it using a variety of seed bead stitches and finish it off with an ultrasuede backing.

We have a lot of entries so far for "Bessie's Delivery Date". If you haven't been in on the fun yet, Bessie is the mannequin in our shop and is with child.  Guess her 'delivery date' and you can win a gift certificate from Zelda's.  The delivery date is sometime between August 15th and December 20th.  Stop in to place your entry.  You can even take a guess as to "Who's The Daddy?"

Summer is ending and we are making some fun plans for the autumn months.  Watch out for "Very Scary Week"!!!
