Freezin' Beadin'

You might be wondering about the young man pictured here. His name is Sean and is Cherie's son. Sean is modeling the chain maille shirt that we made with the fifth graders at Winchester Thurston in Shadyside. Twenty kids, four adults, and over 90 hours went into the project. The kids made most of the shirt. They were studying a unit on the Medieval Period and I suggested a chain maille shirt. The kids couldn't have been more enthusiastic and we all had a great time!
